SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—The Sioux Falls Stampede were shutout, 7-0, during a Saturday evening matchup against their Interstate 29 rivals, the Sioux City Musketeers.
The scoreboard was dominated by the Musketeers across the first three periods. During the first, the Musketeers found the twine behind the Stampede's Jackson Irving twice, setting them up by two heading into the first intermission. It was the same story during the second period, with the Musketeers marking another two unanswered goals.
The Stampede held the Musketeers off for the first 11 minutes of the third period. The Musketeers' Ryan Conmy set off a string of goals for Sioux City at the 11:22 mark. Just 41 seconds later, Dylan Godbout found the net with Sam Deckhut following 55 seconds later.
The Herd is back at the Denny Sanford Premier Center at 7:05 p.m. Friday, January 13 for Hockey Mom's night against the Fargo Force.
