Tradition

The Sioux Falls Stampede was established in 1999. The organization has set out to achieve excellence in on- and off-ice performance since its inception. Our commitment is well reflected in our history and achievements. We encourage all prospective and current players to continue down our path and perform to their highest abilities.

Character

We believe that character champions success. When playing as a part of “The Herd," all players are treated in a professional manner, complimented with first-class amenities, coaching and development provided by the team, staff and organization. Therefore, we expect Stampede players to conduct themselves in a respectful manner both on and off the ice. 

Pride

Stampede hockey fans are the greatest in the United States Hockey League and we all take pride in this organization, regularly turning out in USHL record-breaking numbers to cheer on the Herd. We've hosted sold out crowds of over 11,000 fans at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

As a member of the Stampede, you will take part in one of the greatest experiences of your life. Many former players compliment the atmosphere as the best in junior hockey and compare it to a miniature NHL experience.

We all proudly wear the navy and gold.

Denny Sanford PREMIER Center

 

There’s nothing like game day at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The power of the goal horn, the sound of skates carving fresh ice, the flag bearer pumping a fist in the air. The anticipation of a win. The hockey hugs after every goal.

More than 10,000 fans pack the club’s home games at Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in northwest Sioux Falls. The facility provides junior level players with a taste of high-stakes, high-adrenaline hockey.

SCHEELS IcePlex

 

The SCHEELS IcePlex is a year-round, three-sheet, indoor practice facility for use by the Sioux Falls Stampede, Sioux Falls Power, Sioux Falls Flyers and the general public.

The club holds regular practices and preseason matchups at the facilities throughout the season. Built in 2014, the facility allows players to hone in on their skills with a variety of training exercises, clinics, and workouts.
