This silver anniversary event will take place on Tuesday, November 25th at three convenient Culver's locations throughout Sioux Falls.

"Community Blood Bank has partnered with the Sioux Falls Stampede for 25 years to secure the community's blood supply just before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend," says Ken Versteeg, Executive Director, Community Blood Bank. "With more people traveling on the roadways, a larger population in the Sioux Falls area, and no blood donations for four days, there is potential to deplete our community's blood supply. The Sioux Falls Stampede provides a significant opportunity for community members to donate blood and impact local patients seeking medical care during this critical holiday weekend." Versteeg adds, "The goal is to have a strong blood supply available to treat serious medical issues and be ready for the unexpected. Within 30 minutes, you will provide a lifeline to up to three patients at our community hospitals. Giving blood is one of those special things that can be done every 56 days and really impacts lives for a lifetime. Join us to give the one gift that can only be found by volunteers rolling up their sleeves and donating blood."

Donor Requirements:
        • Must be at least 17 years old
        • Must weigh 110 pounds or more
        • Must be in good general health on the day of donation
        • Please bring a valid ID
        • Individuals can safely donate blood every 56 days

Community Blood Bank is a joint cooperative of Sanford USD Medical Center and Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health providing blood to 43 local area hospitals including all Sioux Falls medical care facilities.
