Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Stampede have announced the acquisition of forward Ritter Coombs from the Dubuque Fighting Saints in exchange for a 2025 USHL Phase II Draft Round 3 pick and a conditional USHL Draft pick.
The Providence College commit has recorded 7 goals and 6 assists in 29 games, this season, with the Fighting Saints. Prior to the 2024-25 season, Coombs played two seasons at Northwood Prep School, where he netted 58 points (24g, 34a) in 56 games during the 2023-24 season. The Dubuque, Iowa-born left winger is eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft. He is currently projected to be taken in the fourth round after ranking 115th among North American skaters on the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Term Rankings.
Coombs will wear number 23 with the Herd and is available to play this weekend. Coombs and the Stampede will face off against the Fargo Force in a home-and-home series on Friday and Saturday.
