Feldbergs Named USHL Goaltender of the Week After Historic Weekend

Sioux Falls, S.D. — The Sioux Falls Stampede's starting goaltender, Linards Feldbergs, has been named the USHL Goaltender of the Week.

The Merrimack College commit started the weekend strong with a 32-save performance against the Sioux City Musketeers on Friday night. He allowed just one goal, posting a .970 save percentage for the game. The Latvian goaltender continued his impressive play on Saturday, once again allowing just one goal. He made 18 saves for a .947 save percentage.

Saturday's win also pushed Feldbergs to 34 wins on the season, tying the Stampede franchise record for single-season wins. Charlie Lindgren set the record during the 2012–13 season.

Feldbergs is now 34-11-1-0 on the season and holds a .912 save percentage. Over the course of the season, he has lowered his goals-against average to 2.48.

Feldbergs and the Stampede head to Omaha this Thursday for a 7:05 p.m. game against the Lancers.

The Stampede will wrap up the regular season with three games starting on March 31 against the Des Moines Buccaneers. They will then host the Waterloo Black Hawks for Fan Appreciation Night and Kids Takeover Night on April 4 and 5.
