STAMPEDE UNVEIL 2026-27 SCHEDULE AS DEFENDING CLARK CUP CHAMPIONS

HOME OPENER AND BANNER CEREMONY SET FOR OCT 3

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Stampede have announced their 2026-27 regular season schedule. The 62-game slate includes 30 home games, 30 away games and two contests at the United States Hockey League (USHL) Fall Classic in Chicago at the Blackhawks Ice Center beginning Sept. 16. Further information about the Fall Classic games will be released in the coming weeks.

The Stampede will open their title defending season at the USHL Fall Classic before traveling to Kearney, Neb., to face the Tri-City Storm on Sept. 25 and 26. The Herd open their home schedule against I-29 rival Sioux City on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center. The 6:05 p.m. matchup will feature a pregame ceremony to hoist the team's 2026 Clark Cup championship banner.

Schedule highlights include a busy October including six home games. Other highlights include a  Thanksgiving weekend Saturday matchup with the Lincoln Stars, the annual New Year's Eve game at 6:05 p.m. against the Waterloo Black Hawks, a late-January road rematch of the 2026 Clark Cup Final series against the Muskegon Lumberjacks, and a season-ending stretch that closes at home against the Fargo Force on April 3. The Stampede will end the season playing five of their last eight games on home ice.

The Stampede will face Western Conference opponents the majority of next season, including 10 games against the Fargo Force (six home, four away) and nine meetings with rival Sioux City Musketeers (four home, five away).

The Stampede will also host several Eastern Conference opponents this season, including the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, Youngstown Phantoms, Madison Capitols, Chicago Steel and Dubuque Fighting Saints.
The club will host 24 weekend games: 13 on Saturdays, nine on Fridays and two on Sundays. Rounding out the home schedule are three Monday games, two Tuesday games and one Thursday game.
