Stampede to Host Nonprofit Night with Bluestone FCU

Sioux Falls, S.D. — The Sioux Falls Stampede are excited to host Nonprofit Night on March 20 in partnership with Bluestone FCU. The night allows the Stampede to support and highlight several local nonprofits and the amazing work they do. To help raise funds for these organizations, the Stampede have launched a specialty DASH Auction that includes some jerseys “From the Vault.” To bid on these items, click here.

On March 20, ten nonprofit organizations will be in attendance for fans to meet. They are the following:

Emily’s Hope: Emily’s Hope is an organization dedicated to removing the stigma of substance use disorder through awareness, education, and prevention. They also work to remove financial barriers to treatment and recovery. In addition to their other work, in early 2024 the organization began its free naloxone distribution program, eventually adding a box at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.

The Community Outreach: The Community Outreach is a Christian ministry that works to share hope and provide tools for daily living. The organization provides everything from utility assistance to transportation support with the hope of helping families achieve stable housing.

Helpline Center: The Helpline Center began serving South Dakota in 1974 and offers 24-hour support by connecting individuals with resources and assistance. They offer services such as the 211 Helpline, the 988 Lifeline, and Suicide Grief Support.

Carroll Institute: The Carroll Institute offers counseling and treatment services for behavioral health, including mental health care, counseling, child services, and treatment for those living with substance use disorders. Their services include prevention, outpatient services, and residential treatment.

All About U Adoptions: All About U Adoptions is an adoption agency that provides services for pregnant women and birth parents in South Dakota, Nebraska, and North Dakota. They offer 24/7 support to help birth parents make the best decision for themselves.

HorsePower: HorsePower is a nonprofit that uses the influence of horses as a form of healing therapy to help individuals with various physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.

St. Francis House: St. Francis House has been serving Sioux Falls since 1987 and provides hope to individuals facing homelessness. They offer services ranging from housing and meals to workforce integration and financial independence.

Sioux Falls CASA: Sioux Falls CASA connects trained advocates with children involved in the court system through no fault of their own. Their ultimate goal is to ensure that every child who needs a Court Appointed Special Advocate can have one.

Habitat for Humanity: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls builds and revitalizes homes to provide decent and affordable housing for members of the community who need a helping hand. Their vision is to build a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

USD Center for Disabilities: Established in 1971 as part of a national network, the USD Center for Disabilities works to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. They carry out diverse capacity-building efforts through community education, clinical services, interdisciplinary training, technical assistance, research, information dissemination, and policy and advocacy work.
