Linards Feldbergs has been named United States Hockey League (USHL) Goaltender of the Week following a shutout on Thursday night in Omaha.
The Ogre, Latvia, native earned his 26th and 27th wins of the season this weekend and now leads the USHL in victories. Feldbergs opened the weekend with a 32-save shutout performance on Thursday night against the Omaha Lancers. The game marked his second shutout of the season. The Merrimack College commit followed it up on Saturday with a 25-save performance, allowing just one goal.
Feldbergs ranks seventh in the league in both save percentage and goals-against average at .911 and 2.54, respectively.
Feldbergs and the Stampede return to action this weekend in Kearney, NE, where they will take on the third-place Tri-City Storm.
