SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today they have acquired forward
Pavel Martinu from the Sioux City Musketeers in exchange for forward
Jake Merens and a 2028 phase-two, fourth-round draft selection.
Martinu appeared in 53 games for the Musketeers last season, tallying eight goals and nine assists for 19 points along with 59 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-5-inch, 220-pound centerman provides a physical and defensive skillset. He tallied two goals in five playoff games as a rookie last season with the Musketeers.
A native of Plezen, Czechia, Martinu is eligible for the upcoming 2026 NHL Draft. He is committed to the University of New Hampshire.
