SIOUX FALLS, SD –– The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Thursday the acquisitions of forward
Isaac Gordon from the Chicago Steel and affiliate forward
Chris Pelosi from the Muskegon Lumberjacks. The Stampede are sending one of their two first round Phase II draft choices to the Steel in exchange for Gordon. The club is sending forward
Jack Reimann to Muskegon in exchange of Pelosi.
Gordon was a fifth-round selection of the Steel during the 2022 USHL Phase II Draft. The 6-foot, 187-pound winger appeared in two games this season with the Steel. Prior to joining Chicago, Gordon put up impressive numbers with Eastman Selects U18 AAA in the MU18HL last season. In just 41 games, Gordon tallied 72 points (43g, 29a) and just 18 penalty minutes while serving as team captain. Gordon, 18, has already committed to play collegiate hockey at Michigan State University.
Pelosi was a sixth-round selection by the Lumberjacks in the 2021 USHL Phase I Draft. The 17-year-old centerman is currently skating with the Janesville Jets in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) where he leads the team in scoring with five goals and one assist in just seven games this season. He stands at 6-foot-2, 185-pounds and spent last season skating with Mount St. Charles Academy 16U AAA club where he tallied 61 points (31g, 30a) in 52 games. He has already committed to play collegiate hockey in 2024-25 at Quinnipiac University.
Reimann, 20, appeared in all 62 games last season with the Stampede, tallying 20 points (8g, 12a).
