SIOUX FALLS, S.D.— The Sioux Falls Stampede fell to the Tri-City Storm, 1-0, in the Stampede's only game of the weekend.
Tri-City found themselves as the lone men on the scoreboard for about 55 minutes of the game, starting just 4:08 into the game. Brandt Harper was able to slide the puck into Heil's net and put the Storm up, 1-0.
Both teams went zero-for-four on their powerplay attempts. Goaltender
Caleb Heil stopped 18 of 19 shots on his net. Heil is now 3-1-0 this season with a save percentage of .900 and GAA of 2.49.
The Herd heads to Sioux City, Iowa on Tuesday to take on the Sioux City Musketeers for the first time this season at 11 a.m. The team then goes to Kearney, Nebraska to play the Storm once again on Friday, followed by the Omaha Lancers on Saturday. Finally, the team will round out the six-day stretch with the Halloween themed game on October 22 at the PREMIER Center.
