KEARNEY, NEB.— The Sioux Falls Stampede fell to the Tri-City Storm, 4-1, on Friday evening.
Chris Pelosi found Tri-City's net for the lone goal and
Caleb Heil was tabbed with the loss between the pipes.
Tri-City came out strong, scoring two goals in each of the first two periods, putting the Storm up 4-0 heading into the final frame. The Stampede was able to gain a final bout of strength with 11:40 to go in the game when
Chris Pelosi tabbed a goal with help from
JJ Wiebusch.
Caleb Heil found his second loss of the season, both coming from Tri-City, and is now 3-2-0 in his five starts. Pulling Heil from the net with 5:42 to go in the game, Heil marked just 54 minutes and 18 seconds between the pipes. Hosting a 4.42 GAA and .833 save percentage this game, he now holds a total GAA of 2.85 and save percentage of .887 this season.
The Herd heads to Omaha Saturday to finish the road game portion of this weekend against the Lancers. Then, the team comes back to Sioux Falls on Sunday for the annual Halloween game against the Sioux City Musketeers.
