The Sioux Falls Stampede have announced that the world-famous Wiener Dog Races will take place on Saturday, February 8^th versus the Fargo Force at 6:05 PM. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by clicking here! 
 
February 8^th will mark the 18^th edition of the renowned Sioux Nation Pet Clinic Wiener Dog Races. The Herd will once again transform into the Fighting Wiener Dogs for one night only with specialty jerseys with the iconic Fighting Wiener Dog logo. Fans will once again have a chance to win one of the game-worn specialty jerseys during the game to benefit Dakota Dachshund Rescue.   

Before and during the game, Dakota Dachshund Rescue will be on hand with some lovable, adoptable dachshunds in the main concourse. The game will feature a wiener dog parade featuring the racers prior to puck drop. The first intermission will feature two heats of dogs totaling 40 racers with the top two racers from each race qualifying for the championship race. The second intermission will feature the Final Four with the top dog being crowned champion.  
 
All kinds of other family fun will take place throughout the night, including a photo booth, Mr. Twister and more! Stay tuned for more details to come on the other fun festivities of the night.

The Herd open up pre-season play this Friday and Saturday when they travel to Sioux City for games against Omaha and Sioux City during the Western Conference Shootout at the Tyson Events Center. The Stampede's home opener is set for Saturday, October 5^th at 6:05 PM against the Lincoln Stars.
