SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Sioux Falls Stampede announced today, Tuesday, December 2, that tonight's game against the Des Moines Buccaneers has been postponed.
Due to an illness affecting multiple players, the Stampede are unable to meet the USHL's minimum player requirement to compete in tonight's contest. The game against the Buccaneers has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 31, at 7:05 p.m. at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
"We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but the health and safety of our players and the Des Moines Buccaneers is our number one priority," stated Stampede President/CEO
Jim Olander. "We appreciate the Des Moines Buccaneers working with us and putting the safety of the players ahead of the game itself."
Fans who had tickets for tonight's contest will be able to redeem them for the rescheduled game on March 31st. Those who have digital tickets will have their tickets automatically transferred to March 31st. Fans with paper tickets can just show their ticket dated for December 2nd at the game on March 31st or stop by the Stampede office to receive tickets with the proper date printed.
The Stampede will rest up and then hit the road to take on the Madison Capitols this weekend. They will return to the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center next Tuesday, December 9, for a 7:05 p.m. matchup against the Lincoln Stars.
