SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Sioux Falls Stampede added 15 players to their prospect pipeline Monday during the 2026 USHL Phase I Draft. The class includes nine forwards, five defensemen and one goaltender, all from the 2010 birth year.
Sioux Falls forfeited its first-round selection after signing forward Dylan Delgado to a tender agreement on April 10.
"We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to draft the next wave of talented players to the Stampede," said general manager Tony Gasparini. "Today and tomorrow's draft represent a lot of hard work that happens behind the scenes from our scouting and coaching staff."
The Stampede opened the draft in the fourth round with forward Tripp Wroblewski. The 5-foot-9, 146-pound Menasha, Wis., product tallied 37 points (18g, 19a) in 24 games at Notre Dame Academy (USHS-WI) last season. He also notched 30 points (12g, 18a) in 24 games as captain of Team Wisconsin 15U AAA.
Sioux Falls used its next two picks on defensemen, taking Samuel Fishbone in the fifth round and Ryan Porter in the seventh.
Fishbone registered 28 points (6g, 22a) in 26 games for St. Sebastian's School (NEPS). The Needham, Mass., native is a left-shot blueliner. Porter, a 5-foot-8, 151-pound left-shot out of Hanover, Mass., chipped in 11 points (2g, 19a) in 29 games at Dexter Southfield School (NEPS).
In the ninth round, the Stampede selected forward Adam Benassaya. The 5-foot-11, 168-pound right-shot hailing from Manhattan Beach, Calif., put up 38 points (23g, 15a) in 50 games for Shattuck-St. Mary's Sabres (USEPHS).
Fifteen picks later in the 10th round, Sioux Falls selected Benassaya's teammate, forward Bo Skelton. The Minnetonka, Minn., product registered 42 points (11g, 31a) in 50 games.
The Stampede addressed the goaltender position in the 11th round with the selection of Tomáš Hájek of Hradec Králové, Czechia. Hájek went 27-6-0 with a 2.23 goals-against average and .926 save percentage in 33 games for HC Sparta Praha U17.
The Herd returned to the blue line with their next two selections, taking Lukas Mork and Dean Powell.
Mork, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound product of St. Paul, Minn., contributed eight points (3g, 5a) in 27 games for White Bear Lake High School (USHS-MN). Powell, hailing from Mullica Hill, N.J., racked up 76 points (10g, 66a) in 53 games for Philadelphia HC 15U AAA.
In the 14th round, the Stampede selected forward Kuba Pavlik. The 6-foot, 194-pound Berlin, Vt., product tallied nine points (5g, 4a) in 24 games for HC Pilsen Wolves U17 in Czechia.
Sioux Falls made six selections in the 15th round, opening with forward Jamie Calla, defenseman Beau Raschke and forward Cameron Knott.
Calla, a Lynnfield, Mass., native, notched 18 points (11g, 7a) in 28 games at The Governor's Academy (USHS-Prep) and added 41 points (18g, 23a) in 21 games with the Islanders Hockey Club Prep 15U team. Raschke, a 6-foot-1, 194-pound blueliner out of Bismarck, N.D., chipped in 24 points (5g, 19a) for Bismarck Legacy High School. Knott, a 5-foot-11, 154-pound forward hailing from Bemidji, Minn., contributed eight points (5g, 3a) for Bemidji High School (USHS-MN).
The Stampede closed the draft with forwards Erik Yedwab, Beckam Sallade and Émrik Ménard.
Yedwab, hailing from Cream Ridge, N.J., skated in 52 games for Philadelphia HC 15U AAA in 15U AAA league play. He registered 51 goals and 40 assists, leading his team with 91 points. Sallade, a 6-foot-2, 163-pound left-shot from Reading, Pa., put up 15 points (7g, 8a) for the North Jersey Avalanche 15U AAA in AYHL 15U play and nine points (6g, 3a) in T1EHL 15U play. Ménard, an Acton Vale, Quebec, product, tallied 16 points (8g, 8a) for the Connecticut Jr. Rangers 15O AAA (THF 15U).
The draft continues with Phase II on Tuesday at 11 a.m. CT. Phase II is open to players in the 17- to 20-year-old age range, or 2006-09 birth years, who are not on a protected United States Hockey League roster.
